This series is a portrait of my mother, an attempt to show who she is through the details of how she lives, and how I see her. My father was an important part of her life, but he preferred not to appear in the photographs, so I kept his presence to a minimum. In the end, this worked in the series’ favor: it kept my mother exactly where she was meant to be, at the center.
