Covering

This series explores covering in its many forms, from the hijab and modest dress that shape how women appear in public, to the accidental concealment created by shadow, light, and everyday objects. A shadow stretches a veiled figure across a wall, a tree branch swallows someone mid-stride, a stone ledge hides a boy just out of view. Together, these images sit between the deliberate and the incidental, asking what it means to be seen only partially, whether by choice, by custom, or by chance.
